Our People Programme

Social responsibility

Responsibility for our fellow human beings

People from all over the world are involved in the manufacture of our products. This creates a responsibility for us, which we are highly aware of. It therefore goes without saying that we are globally committed to human rights and the improvement of working conditions. In doing so, we are contributing to a more sustainable textile industry.

In 2022, we joined the Fair Wear Foundation, Europe's leading organisation for the improvement of working conditions in textile factories and supply chains. Together with other NGOs, trade unions and member brands, Fair Wear is committed to the highest labour standards in the textile industry. In 2023, s.Oliver was rated “good” in our first Brand Performance Check from Fair Wear.

Transparency

In order for you to be able to make a responsible purchasing decision, you need to know where and under what conditions our products are manufactured. Since 2020, we have published the suppliers we work with. In the future, we want to take that further and integrate the supply chains for all our products directly into the online shop. To do this, we have been working with the German tech company Retraced since 2023.

Improving working conditions

Through our risk management system, we can identify hazards in our supply chains at an early stage and do something about them. Our own teams regularly check our production facilities and together with Fair Wear we conduct training on work standards. Through Fair Wear’s reporting system, workers and unions can contact us with complaints and tips.

What we are going to do next

Together with the Fair Wear Foundation, we’re working to adapt our own business processes so they don’t have a negative impact on our suppliers (e.g. by not making last-minute changes to product designs). We’re also planning a living wage pilot project.
